The Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute invites students of higher education institutions of the country to participate in the II Internet Olympiad in Cartography.

The organizer of the competition is the Department of Geodesy of the institute.

Interested students studying in various specialties and fields of training are invited to participate in the Olympiad. No more than five students from each university are allowed to participate.

The competition will be held on 20 November at 15:00 and will take the form of an individual competition. Participants will be asked to answer 50 test questions within 90 minutes.

The results of the participants will be determined by the sum of the points scored. Based on the results of the competition, 9 prize places will be distributed among the best participants – two first, three second and four third places. Incentive prizes are provided for students who distinguish themselves in the competition.

Those wishing to take part in the Olympiad must, by 10 November, send information about the participants and their responsible supervisor to the email address tdbgikartografiya8@gmail.com. The competition is held with the aim of identifying talented youth, strengthening professional knowledge and skills, as well as developing spatial thinking and independent work in students.

As the organizers emphasized, the Olympiad is intended to identify the best experts in cartography capable of worthily representing the country at international competition venues. All students who are ready to test themselves, take an active part and demonstrate their level of preparation are invited to participate.
