The 57th conference of the Council for railway transport of member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States completed its work in the conference hall of “Ashgabat” hotel. Officials and specialists of core departments, railroad administrations of the countries – members of the Council as well as representatives of international organizations specialized in this sphere and experts took part in the forum.

Council includes the railway departments of 17 countries, where the width of railway gauge is 1520 mm. Within two days of work of the forum, it was discussed the issues of elaboration of coordinated rules of exploitation and circulation of freight cars, complex mutual settlements in this sphere, quality assurance of equipment, being applied on steel main lines and many others.

Priority trends of development of railway transport, deepening of cooperation, measures on realization of available potential in this sphere were reflected in the Protocol of the meeting passed as a result of the forum.
