Today, large festive solemnity in honor of great labor achievement of the farmers of the region was held in Anew – administrative center of Akhal province. They fulfilled the undertaken contractual obligations, having delivered over 213 thousand tons of raw cotton to the bins of Motherland. In the course of solemn event, it was held the awarding of particularly distinguished workers of agricultural sector of the province, who received valuable gifts on behalf of the head of state.

As is known, Akhal province is the largest agricultural region of the country. In this year, the farmers of Kopetdag valley allotted 120 thousand hectares of agricultural fields under valuable industrial crop. They were sown with fine- and medium-stapled cotton. At present, according to the volume of stored raw material, the cotton-growers of Gokdepe etrap, Baharly, Ak Bugday, Altyn Asyr, Tejen and Babadayhan etraps are in the lead.
