Dashoguz velayat farmers have successfully met their rice production targets. With the total area of 8,100 hectares under rice cultivation in the region, they harvested 35,000-plus tons. Having grown a good yield of rice on 3,350 hectares, rice growers from 27-Oktýabr Daikhan Association were the first in S. Turkmenbashi Etrap (the region’s main rice-producing and processing area) to achieve their targets.

There is still much rice in the fields and the harvesting campaign is continuing non-stop in the region.

Like previous years, the harvesting operations are well organized and are progressing smoothly. The region’s rice producers have 130 modern high-performance combine harvesters and many trucks at their disposal.

Thanks to government investments, the Dashoguz region boasts a complete rice production cycle, which includes high-quality seed production, planting, harvesting, storage and processing. To this end, a modern high-tech rice-processing enterprise has been built in close proximity to the fields. With an annual capacity of 30,000 tons, it supplies domestic consumers with high-quality rice.
