The British companies will deliver specialized vehicles for Turkmenistan's rail transport. The Ministry of Rail Transport of Turkmenistan is to purchase flaw detector cars and track measurement cars from Wellsford LLP and rail-grinding and rail-laying trains, specialized wagons for laying seamless tracks, specialized wagons for transporting and laying track gravel, road equipment and tools from Stock Plaza LLP.

An increase in Turkmenistan's rail fleet is caused by the intensive rail traffic growth inside and outside the country as well as within regional cooperation. The rail transport development programme for the period to 2016 adopted in 2012 is aimed at technological modernization and diversification of the rail industry. The state programme provides that railways will built in the territory of Turkmenistan as well under international projects.
