Agricultural forum to mark the Harvest Day

The conference on the Achievements in the Agricultural Sector in the Epoch of New Revival and Great Reforms was held to mark the Hasyl bayramy (Harvest Day) in the conference hall of the agricultural office building.

Leading agricultural scientists, specialists of the research institutes, ministries and departments, foremost people in agriculture, teachers and students of the agricultural higher schools participated in the forum organized by the Ministry of Agriculture. The forum agenda focused on priority aspects of agriculture sciences, effective and efficient use of agricultural equipment, improvement of the standards of farming, raising of the level of crop yield, optimization of land reclamation activity and promotion of the livestock sector. The reports presented by leading agricultural scientists were of particular interest.

The ceremony of awarding best agricultural workers, scientists and the winners of the annual contest among tenant-farmers, cotton growers, machine-operators and drivers engaged in the cotton picking campaign. The aim of this professional contest held each year by the central administrations of the public organisations of the Galkynys National Movement, the Turkmenobahyzmat Association, the Dayhanbank State Commercial Bank, the Turkmenpagta State Concern and the editorial staffs of the newspapers Galkynys, Nesil and Bereketli toprak is to create new incentives for agricultural workers and contribute to applying effective management methods in the agricultural sector. Valuable presents were given on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the winners of the contest.

Conference participants adopted on behalf of Turkmen agricultural workers the Address to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. They expressed profound gratitude to the Turkmen leader for the ongoing reforms aimed at promotion of the sector, development in rural areas and improvement of the welfare of rural people.
