Textile Industry Fair in Dushanbe

A specialized Textile Industry Fair organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Textile Industry of our country with assistance of the Yokut-2000 Tajik Company opened in Dushanbe. The forum is held in compliance with the agreements achieved during the high-level Turkmen-Tajik talks. A delegation of our country including the heads and specialists of the structural departments of the industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry arrived in Dushanbe to take part in the exhibition.

The exposition of the Turkmen textile is showcased on the first floor of the festively decorated Yokut-2000 Trading Centre. By tradition of the Tajik hospitality, national musicians greeted forum participants and guests to the festive ceremony.

The government officials, heads of ministries and departments of Tajikistan, the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the friendly country, public organisations, businessmen as well as representatives of foreign companies working there, students and journalists gathered on the square in front of the Trading Centre.

Among numerous guests to the ceremony were the people of the Tajik capital who demonstrate keen interest in achievements of the friendly Turkmen state and textile exposition.

The welcoming address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to participants of the fair was presented during the ceremony. Greeting those present at the fair opening ceremony, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan Sharif Said underlined its significance in the context of the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two states celebrated this year.

The exposition of the textile industry goods vividly demonstrates the achievements of the Turkmen textile industry that has reached the new levels of development and ranks among the leading branches of the national economy of our country.

As is known, at present over 80 percent of products manufactured at the industry enterprises, including cotton-spinning factories and textile complexes, weaving, garment, silk-processing enterprises are exported to more than 70 countries of the world.

The Textile Industry Fair in Dushanbe will work till April 15.
