Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex – the largest enterprise, which produces up to 25 percents of production, being manufactured in the country. At present, nearly 65 percents of products manufactured by Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex are exported abroad. In 2012, the export volume came to over 3.2 billion US dollars. It is higher by 8 percents as compared with analogous period of 2011. So, the purchasers of coke, being produced by Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex, are Russia, Tajikistan, and Iran. Liquefied gas is transported to Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Georgia and Armenia. Partners on sale of polypropylene are Japan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, China and several other countries. Finally, it is adjusted the export of base oil. This product is delivered to Iran, Italy and Russia.

So, with participation of the Turkish Company “Lotus”, it is carried out the construction of installations of tar oil carbonization and deasphalting with capacity of 900 and 500 thousand tons per year correspondingly. Indonesian Company “PT Istana Karang Laut” realizes the assembling of installation for production of bio-oriented polypropylene fabric with capacity of 21 thousand tons and installation of preliminary oil distillation ELOU-AT-7 with capacity of 3 million tons – “Alliance Engineering CO. LTD” Company (South Korea). Specialists of “Westport Trading Europe Limitеd” (USA) proceeded to the construction of installation for production of paving bitumen with capacity of 38 thousand tons from processing residuum of Seydi Oil Refinery.
Investments in improvement of production lines of the complex come to nearly 900 million US dollars. Calculations of our specialists show that competition of the construction of the large facilities and their putting into exploitation provides the increase of oil processing capacities by 3 million tons and processing depth from 80 up to 92 percents. They allow increasing the manufacture of high-quality coke and raw material for obtaining paving bitumen of perfect quality, raising the production of petrol A-92 and A-95 as well as expanding the assortment of products owing to manufacture of new kinds of oil products such as alkylate, isomerizate.
Specialists of Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex go on to expand the assortment and work at improvement of quality of oils, developing the formulation of new brands, which are competitive in the international market. At present, it is produced 5 brands of base oils and developed the serial production of 30 brands of various commercial oils.
Presently, it was concluded a contract with the Japanese “JGC” Company for development of feasibility study of new oil refinery in Ekerem settlement in Balkan province. It will be absolutely new plant corresponding with strict international standards. Designing and construction of new plant will be based on modern innovative technologies and equipment providing safe, reliable and long-term exploitation of the facilities. New plant will correspond to international standards on environmental protection and environmental safety.
