The harvesting campaign is going on at a rapid pace on the grain field of the country with total area of 860 thousand hectares. The grain-growers of the country plan to yield a rich harvest of grain without losses and in stipulated date. To date, a half of marked volume of the gain harvest has been gathered and delivered to the bins of Motherland.
Grain mowing started on the first day of summer simultaneously in four provinces of the country – Akhal, Mary, Lebap and Balkan. On June 12, the harvesting campaign started in the northern region of Turkmenistan – Dashoguz province. The grain-growers of Tagtabazar and Serhetabat etraps of Mary province first fulfilled the contractual obligations, having exceeded the plan on harvesting by 17 and 11 percents correspondingly. Then, Serahs etrap of Akhal province joined to them. At the same time, the calculations with grain producers for planned and above-target harvest are continued in the Peasants’ Associations.
157 grain reception points located on the basis of the enterprises of “Turkmengallaonumleri” are functioning round-the-clock. The specialists of verification laboratories of the Main State Service “Turkmenstandartlary” control the quality of the grain.
Vehicles of “Turkmenobahyzmat” State Association, State Motor Enterprises, in total, over six and a half thousand trucks operate in transportation of yielded wheat from the fields. 1882 combines of “John Deer”, “Case”, “CLAAS” and “New Holland” brands take part in the harvesting campaign. Operational repair crews, who labor here round-the-clock in two shifts, provide uninterrupted work of machinery in the fields. It was adjusted a hot food for all participants of the grain harvesting campaign in field camps.
Wheat harvest – 2013 will make up nearly 15 soft and hard sorts of wheat. There are five new sorts among them: two national and three Russian. These are “Yoloten 3”, “Miras”, “Nota”, “Irishka” and “Vassa” as well as old sorts as “Batko”, “Sahrai”, “Yoloten 1”, “Bitarap”, “Juvai”, “Turkmenbashi 1” and others.
In the current year, according to the state order, the Turkmen grain growers are obliged to yield 1 million 600 thousand tons of grain, including in Akhal province – 450 thousand tons, Mary – 380 thousand tons, Lebap – 350 thousand tons, Dashoguz – 300 thousand tons and Balkan – 120 thousand tons of wheat.
