A new railway station will be built in the city of Balkanabat in Balkan Velayat. The President of Turkmenistan signed the relevant Resolution with the aim to fulfill the tasks set to the railway transport industry and specified in the General Plan for development of the railway transport industry of Turkmenistan for 2012-2016.
According to the document, the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan signed the contract for design and construction of a railway station in Balkanabat with improvement of the adjacent territory with the Ösüş Gurluşyk private company.
Construction works will be started this month. It is planned to complete the works in June, 2015.
According to another Resolution signed by the President of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan concluded a contract with the Nata Inşaat Turizm Taşimacilik Ticaret ve Sanayi Anonim Şirketi Turkish Company for design and construction of 13 railway bridges along the Bereket-Etrek section of the Gyzylgaya-Bereket-Etrek railway.
Construction works will be started in June, 2013 and will be completed in August, 2014.
