The Turkmenistan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission for economic cooperation held the seventh meeting in Ashgabat. A high-level delegation led by RF Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich had arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the meeting.

The agenda focused on cooperation in the priority areas, such as the trade and economic, fuel and energy, power, machine engineering, transport and communications sectors, agriculture and education, science and culture and sport.

The members of the Commission expressed satisfaction with the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation in Maritime Transport and the Agreement on Cooperation between the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The sides signed the Protocol upon concluding the meeting.
