Gala concert of children’s musical and song contest performed on the main stage of the country
Participants of the Pearls of Independence children’s musical and song contest performed a gala concert held each year at the Ruhiyet Palace on the eve of the main national holiday of the country – the Independence Day within the framework of the Turkmenin Altyn Asyry National Art Contest established by the President of Turkmenistan. The concert was organized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting.
This year, over 900 talented children have participated in the prestigious contest. The winners of the velayat rounds arrived to the white-marble capital of our country on the eve of the glorious anniversary of sacred independence of our Motherland to add bright colours to numerous cultural events taking place in our country in honour of the national holiday.
The big concert brought together the cabinet ministers, heads of the Mejlis, ministries and departments, representatives of public organisations of the Galkynys National Movement and diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, journalists, workers of culture and art and, of course, numerous peers of the contesters.
In the Address to participants of the final round of the musical and song contest President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov heartily congratulated gifted children on the forthcoming 20th anniversary of independence and wished them great success in the field of culture and art and the aspiration to enhance fame of the Motherland by glorifying outstanding accomplishments and noble aims, happy life and the ideals of friendship, humanism and kind-heartedness of our people.
The main goal of the contest is to reveal artistic abilities and talents of children and bring them up in the spirit of patriotism, love to their Motherland and respect for the national traditions and customs of the Turkmen people. Hundreds of children participated in the qualification rounds, which were held in all the regions of the country and in the Turkmen capital. Their bright performances attracted numerous spectators. It was difficult for the jury consisting of renowned workers of culture and art to select the best artists, who would participate in the concert on the main stage of the country.
Following the tradition, the concert started with singing the National Anthem of Turkmenistan. Then the grandiose festival took place on the main stage of the country. Young artists were radiant with their sparkling talent and masterly performance.
Thousands of spectators were fascinated with the show. They welcomed each number – songs, dances, music and folk compositions accompanied by the demonstration of the films about the meetings of younger citizens of Turkmenistan with President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, various photographs and videos – with a storm of applause.
The gala concert was vivid evidence for the inexhaustibility of the source of talents. The final chord of the concert was the joint performance of the hymn of the children’s art festival by all participants and numerous spectators.
Then the ceremony of awarding the winners took place. Diplomas and computers were presented on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to the six best artists from each region of the country. All the children, who had performed in the concert, received valuable presents from the leader of the Turkmen state on that day.
