At the 188-kilometer long and 1420- millimeter diameter Malay-Bagtiyarlyk gas pipeline, it is realized the construction of high-pressure gas pipeline with total length of 90 kilometers and diameter of 1420 millimeters. Looping is when one pipeline is laid parallel to another and is often used as a way to increase the carrying capacity of the last one. Upon completion of the construction of looping, the carrying capacity of Malay-Bagtiyarlyk gas pipeline will increase up to 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. It allows increasing the fuel delivery through Turkmenistan-China gas artery and contributing to increase of export of the Turkmen “blue fuel”.
Design estimates have been worked out by the Institute of Oil and Gas of “Turkmengas” State Concern and include tens of valve connection joints with double-sided expulsion, transitions over various barriers, launching barrel and acceptances of purifiers, locks between existing compressor stations, gas dewatering installation and self-supporting gage unit on commercial field “Bagtiyarlyk”.
Construction of additional length of gas pipeline is realized according to the order of “Gundogargazakdyrysh” Management of “Turkmengazakdyrysh” Association of “Turkmengas” State Concern owing to the efforts of “Turkmennebitgazgurlushyk” State Concern. The general contractor of works is “Lebapnebitgazgurlushyk” Trust. Since beginning of construction, it was assembled over 80 kilometers of gas pipeline, ten 1400-millimeter diameter valve connection joints, acceptances of purifiers, locks between existing high-preasure gas pipeline Turkmenistan-China.
One of the major sections of looping will become the braced crossing over Amyderya. Contract for construction was made by “Turkmengas” State Concern with the company from Great Britain “PetroGasLLP”. Engineering-exploration and earthy operations are carried out at the site.
