President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Opening the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov issued the Decree authorizing to pardon 630 persons to mark the Day of Neutrality of Turkmenistan. Addressing the high-ranking law enforcement officials, the Turkmen leader instructed to take the necessary measures to ensure that the pardoned would be released from prison and would spend the holiday with their families. Signing the Decree, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that this action was dictated by the ideals of mercy, justice and humanism bequeathed by our ancestors to us and the principles of a democratic, jural state.
Then the floor was given to Vice Premier A. Gochiev, who informed the President of Turkmenistan on the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader's instructions on granting the loan to finance the construction of a plant for production of 500,000 tons of sulfuric acid per year at the Turkmenabat chemical plant of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern.
Commenting on the report, the President provided a number of specific instructions to the Vice Premiers in this regard.
The President reprimanded Vice Premier A. Gochiev for the failure to properly perform his duties and the shortcomings in his work criticizing the works of the institutions of the economic, financial and banking complex. Chairperon of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdieva reported on the work done by the Turkmen parliamentarians to improve the national legislation. The Chairperson of the Parliament of Turkmenistan informed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the preparations for the Parliamentary elections to be held in our country on December 15.
Commenting on the report, the Turkmen leader expressed the confidence in that the elections would be held at the wide alternative bases in accordance with the principles of democracy and openness.
Then, Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov reported on the preparations for the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the UAE on December 9-10.
Vice Premier Sh. Durdylyev reported on the existing situation in the power industry in the prospects for its development.
Vice Premier A. Yazmyradov reported on the existing situation in the agroindustrial complex of the country and submitted the draft of the Resolution "On approval of the scope of the special land fund for agricultural purposes to peasant associations" to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration. Signing the Resolution, the Turkmen leader provided a number of specific instructions in this regard.
Vice Premier B. Hodjamuhammedov reported on the progress in implementing a number of large investments projects aimed at increasing the production capacities of the national fuel and energy complex and submitted the draft of the Resolution "On the limits of oil products for domestic consumers in Turkmenistan for 2014".
Signing the Resolution, the President of Turkmenistan demanded the relevant officials to take the implementation of the Resolution under the rigorous control.
Vice Premier B. Italmazov informed the President of Turkmenistan on the existing situation in the sectors under his supervision and informed the Turkmen leader on the announcement of the tender for reconstruction of the reinforced concrete plants of the Ministry of Industry of Turkmenistan.
Acting Executive Secretary of the President’s Office, Vice Premier P. Taganov reported on the organizational and economic development of the trade network, increase of the range of trading services and improvement of their quality as well as the providing the food abundance at the local market.
The President of Turkmenistan instructed Vice Premiers P. Taganov and A. Gochiev to take the prices for commodities in stores and markets under the rigorous control to recent the increase of prices on the New Year's eve.
Within the framework of the meeting, Vice Premier S. Toylyev reported on the outcomes of the second round of the International sports media forum held in Ashgabat on November 28-29 within the framework of the complex preparations for the V Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games to be held in Ashgabat in 2017. The Vice Premier invited President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to take part in the presentation of the Olympic Village projects on December 18.
