Fleet of "Turkmenhowayollary" State Civil Aviation Department was replenished with a regular aircraft of the American “Boeing” Corporation. Today morning, new airplane “Boeing 737-800” has landed in the International Airport of the capital, having become the third aircraft built in this year in the USA to the order of Turkmenistan. According to the national tradition, the representatives of elder generation perform in the airport a rite of blessing on the occasion of arrival of new aircraft.
Airliners of “Boeing – 737-800” modification are characterized with high economy, comfortable and capable to carry up to 160 passengers. Distance of non-stop flight of these aircrafts reaches 5400 kilometers, and their cruising speed comes to 850 kilometers per hour.
Technical characteristics of new airliners provide an opportunity to use them not only in domestic flights but also realize non-stop flights from Turkmenistan practically to any parts of Asia and Europe. At that, the Turkmen pilots will be able to expand considerably the frequency of flights on existing routes. In particular, presently, it is realized the preparation for opening of new regular flight – Ashgabat-Paris-Ashgabat.
Within the last years, Turkmenistan actively affirms as one of the largest international transport centers. Construction of new airports in the centers of provinces, super-modern international airport in the capital of Turkmenistan as well as long-term program on expansion of the fleet of modern airplanes of national airline are particularly aimed at solution of these tasks. Today, the national air fleet is dynamically replenished owing to air machinery of the last generation from leading world manufacturers.
