Construction of railway and highway bridges Turkmenabat-Farab over Amyderya is going on in Lebap. Boring of wells under reinforced concrete piles is realized on the left bank of the river, where the production base of the Ukrainian ““Altcom” Road Construction” Co Ltd is located and carries out the construction of these facilities.
Two highly productive tracklayer-mounted German vehicles “Bauer” lay tunneling under light of projectors, leaving the daylight for fulfillment of works with involvement of a large number of people and technique. The depth of boring is nearly 50 meters – till achievement of solid grounds.
Drilling and concreting of a well is completed within a day. These works are carried out in such high pace in other important facility: smaller highway bridge downstream of river by 450 meters.
Today, on the left bank of Amyderya, every working day means the addition of two drilled concrete piles with diameter of one and a half meters. Later, another two “Bauers” will be delivered and also started the tunneling with depth over 40 meters on the right bank of the river for acceleration of paces, for further fill of drilled wells with considerably much concrete. Taking into account this circumstance, it will be put into exploitation two additional concrete-mixing units on both banks of Amyderya.
In New Year, employees of “Altcom” gave a house-warming party in settlement from the prefabricated demountable structures erected not far from. There will be the administrative building, cottages, canteen, first-aid post, special place for leisure-time and sport trainings. It means that our Ukrainian partners thoroughly settle down on ancient Lebap land. They confidently plan to leave fond memories in the form of the largest in the Central Asian region bridges over Amyderya River.
