Construction of new shop for production of sulphuric acid with capacity of 500 thousand tons per year was started at Turkmenabat chemicals plant.
Designing and turnkey construction of this facility to the order of “Turkmenhimiya” State Concern was entrusted to consortium composed of the Japanese “Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co., Ltd” Company and Turkish “Rönesans Türkmen Insaat Sanaýi we Tijaret Anonim Sirketi” Company. Financing of a part of the project costs is provided owing to credit of the Japanese Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC). The term of all operations is 33 months.
Licensed technology “Monsanto” will be used for realization of the project. It is applied for production of sulphuric acid at many sulphuric acid plants in the USA and many analogous enterprises all over the world. “Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co., Ltd” Company has the experience of use of “Monsanto” process in construction of nearly 70 installations for production of sulphuric acid in Japan and other countries. Delivery of the technological equipment will be provided from universally recognized manufacturers – well-known companies of Japan, USA and Europe.
Product of new shop is urged to provide the production of high-quality phosphoric fertilizers for agriculture of Turkmenistan. Moreover, a part of them can be exported.
