Turkmenistan-Armenia Business Forum, which was timed to the official visit of President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to Turkmenistan, was held at the Mizan business centre in the Turkmen capital. A delegation of the Republic of Armenia consisting of the heads of government agencies and businessmen representing the Armenian Development Agency, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and over 20 major companies arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the forum. The Turkmen side was represented by the cabinet ministers, specialists of a number of ministries and departments and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. An exhibition of the goods manufactured in the Republic of Armenia was arranged in the framework of the forum.

The forum participants focused on the tremendous potential for building up cooperation in the spheres of science, education and tourism. The guests from Armenia and specialists of the sectoral ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and the heads of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan discussed the areas for further cooperation during bilateral meetings.
