A Yamaha synthesizer and a Ketron sound module are New Year’s gift for students of the boarding school of music of the Turkmen National Conservatoire. The musical instruments were presented to the school on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

A festive ceremony to mark this event was organized by the Ministry of Culture in the big concert hall of the new school building. Renowned culture and arts workers, teachers and students of the Turkmen National Conservatoire and D. Ovezov Music Collage took part in the ceremony.

Ceremony participants expressed profound gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the initiator of the ambitious reforms particularly aimed at promoting the national culture and integrated development of the younger generation. Vivid evidence for consistent measures the Turkmen leader takes to promote the national culture and arts is the town of arts built for Turkmen cultural and art workers to mark the 20th anniversary of independence of our Motherland. As is known, the new buildings of the boarding schools of music and the State Institute of Culture opened the doors in this town.

The bright performances presented by young singers and children’s musical groups, including the Ayna group of the national musical instruments and the Gunesh chorus, added bright colours to the festivities. The performance of the song “Jan Watanym, Turkmenistan!” by young musicians to the accompaniment of the new musical instruments was the culmination of the festive concert. The audience rewarded the young artists with the storm of applause.
