The ceremony of laying the foundation stone of a horse breeding complex and a settlement for its workers took place in Geokdere village in Geoktepe Etrap.
The horse breeding complex will cover an area of 600,000 square metres, a residential area – 200,000 square metres and an alfalfa field – 250,000 square metres. There will be the disinfection pond and quarantine building at the entrance to the horse breeding complex. The pride of local horse breeders will be the immunogenetic and veterinary laboratory meeting the international standards where the conditions conducive to rendering medical aid to four-legged patients will be created; it will house the operating suite and examination room supplied with state-of-the-art X-ray and ultrasonic equipment.
12 stables for 640 pedigree horses, training facilities and other buildings will be built in the territory of the horse breeding complex. Foals will be kept together with elite mares in the stock breeding department. A jockey club with equipped classrooms and a gym will occupy one of the buildings. The auction house designed for 150 visitors will occupy a separate building.
There will be several race tracks for horses in the buffer zone, which divides the horse breeding complex and a residential area. The two-storey two-apartment houses for 114 families, kindergarten, shops and other infrastructure facilities will be built in the territory of the settlement.
