A start has been given for the grain harvesting campaign in Turkmenistan. As known, in the meeting o the cabinet of Ministers held on May 30, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov commissioned this important agricultural campaign wishing new labor achievements to the grain growers in the fields of the country. In accordance with it, grain growers of Akhal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary provinces have started the grain harvesting campaign and on June 15 cultivators of Dashoguz province have also joined them.
As a tradition, the grain harvesting campaign was blessed with honored elders in places. Cutting first ears of wheat with words an ample harvest to you, white beard elders gave a start of the campaign to grain harvesting machines.
This year Turkmen grain growers plan to gather 1600 000 metric tons of high quality wheat from 860 000hectares of land in including Akhal velayat-450 000, Mary-380 000, Lebap-350 000, Dashoghuz-300 000 and Balkan -120 000 tons of wheat. The bulk of agricultural fields were sown with high yielding varieties of wheat like “Sakhrayi”, “Yoloten-1”, “Bitarap”, “Juvan”, “Turkmenbashy” and “Turkmenbashy-1”, “Batko”, “Yubileynaya-100”, “Irishka”, “Vassa” and “Nota”.
As a total, by the country in the harvesting campaign of 2014 over two thousand grain combine harvesters will be exploited in the fields. For efficient work of machine operators all conditions are created. The round clock service, supply of fuel and lubricants will be ensured by a special team of workers. Besides it, for all participants of the grain harvesting campaign in the fields will be created all conditions for leisure, recreation, workers of culture and mobile shopping outlets will be arranged for them.
Over 8000 trucks including buses of the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan, State Association “Turkmenobahyzmat”, other ministries, and branch departments will ensure delivery of gains to 155 reception points, as well as storages and grain elevators. Laboratories have been also made ready for the start of the harvesting campaign and representatives of the state service “Turkmenstandartlary” will control quality of new grains. The local branch offices of the state commercial bank Daykhan will settle mutual accounts timely for the delivered grains of “Turkmengallaonumleri”.
