State news agency informs that today, two new towboats – “Alem” and “Jakhan” constructed in Turkey to the order of Turkmenistan were delivered to Turkmenbashi International Seaport.
New towboats “Alem” and “Jakhan” are intended for prompt taking of ships from moorings in the roads to the place of making fast that will decrease considerably the time of loading and unloading works. Towboats are fitted with up-to-date auxiliary equipment, including fire-extinguishing means that increases the guarantees of reliability and safety of ship traffic on seacoast zone and in the port.
Within the last years, Turkmenistan purchased numerous different vessels the largest of them are oil tankers “Sumbar”, “Hazar”, “Jeyhun”, “Bitarap”, “Etrek”, “Alaja”, and “Kenar”. Owing to it, the volumes of freight traffic by sea transport increase annually. It is also increased the quantity of foreign ships in Turkmenbashi Seaport.
