New facilities built by Turkmen entrepreneurs have recently expanded the infrastructure of Turkmenistan’s food industry. These include the restaurant Balyk tagamlary that has been opened in Ruhabat Etrap this week.

The restaurant located at the 3rd kilometre of Ashgabat-Geoktepe highway is built in an original architectural style, combining the elements of contemporary design with those of traditional national decor.

The building complex consists of two buildings with modern interior design – the banquet hall for 800 visitors and the restaurant for 700 visitors – that offer favourable conditions to the guests. Every visitor will enjoy dainty foods prepared at the restaurant that mainly specializes in fish dishes. The restaurant offers the visitors the dishes made from fish of six species, which will be delivered fresh from private fish farms located in Ashgabat and Ahal Velayat.

There is a large pool with six sections, where live fish is kept, including grass carp, carp, European carp and other fish species, on the territory adjacent to the fish restaurant. Pergolas and gazebos, benches, lamps, flower beds, a tennis court and parking garage for 400 cars are located on adjacent territory which is planted with trees and shrubs.

br>The ceremony of opening a cattle farm and a fish farm in Altyn Asyr Etrap took place on the same day.

The cattle farm covers an area of 618 hectares. Its production shops are supplied with high-tech equipment manufactured in Turkey and Iran. The farm is to produce 500 tons of meat a year.

The fish farm with artificial fish ponds will specialize in breeding four fish species, namely silver carp, bighead carp, grass carp and carp. It will produce 30 tons of fish a year.
