On the occasion of historical event – commissioning of Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran international railway, the Central Bank of Turkmenistan minted gold and silver coins with a face value of 50 manats. Numismatic novelties were made by old partner of Turkmenistan –“The Royal Mint Limited” Mint of Great Britain.
Railroad, whereon an engine is moving, was placed on the obverse of coins in the center on background of globe. Gold cover has been used in design of silver coin while making the railway and engine. Over the engine from left to right, it was placed in color the state flags of Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Islamic Republic of Iran. There is a legend “GAZAGYSTAN - TURKMENISTAN - EYRAN DOSTLUK DEMIR YOLY” round a circle of outer ring on upper part, and on lower part – the year of mint of memorable coin “2014”.
State emblem of Turkmenistan and legend “TURKMENISTANYN MERKEZI BANKY” was traditionally depicted in the center on the reverse of coin. It was also placed the legend “ELLI MANAT”, reflecting its nominal value. 38.61-diamtere rarities were coined from gold of high standard - Аu 916.7 and silver - Ag 925. Weight of gold coin is 39.94 grams, and silver – 28.28. High quality of coins – “proof” guarantees the attached certificate of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
