Turkmenistan accelerates the industrial capacities on cement production: in 2015, it is planned the construction of another cement plant with capacity of a million ton per year in Koitendag etrap of Lebap province, which possesses the richest reserves of raw material, including for production of this kind of building materials.
The first enterprise of the sector – Kelete Cement Plant was put into exploitation in 2000. Its project capacity is 686.31 thousand tons of cement per year. It manufactures Portland cement of M400 and M500 brands, sulfate-resistant M400 and oil-well cement. The last one is widely used by the Turkmen oilmen for consolidation of wells.
Such powerful facilities as Baharly and Balkan Cement Plants were added to Kelete enterprise. Baharly Cement Plant in Akhal province was put into exploitation in 2005. This facility is intended for production of a million ton per year of highly qualitative Portland cement of M400 and M500 brands. All their production processes were automated, provided with the latest equipment and up-to-date purification systems.
In February 2013, it was held solemn opening of the cement plant “Lebap”. This industrial giant became a regular stage in formation of industrial cluster in Koitendag etrap of Lebap province. The plant fitted with the latest equipment, innovative technologies is one of the modern facilities of such type all over the Central Asia.
