The etrap named after Beyik Turkmenbashi of Lebap province will proceed to the construction of gas-turbine power station with capacity of 254 megawatts.
New energy facility will allow improving power supply of Lebap province, uninterrupted providing with electric power the potassium plant in Magdanly, cement plant in Garlyk, water pumping edifices in the region as well as increasing the volumes of deliveries of the Turkmen electric power to other countries, including Afghanistan.
The State electric power corporation “Turkmenenergo” of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan will make a contact on designing and construction of power station and supplying external systems and structures of gas and water supply with an accomplishment of adjoining territory with the Turkish company “Çalik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A. Ş.”.
Construction works will start in January of this year and it is planned to put the project into full exploitation in December 2016.
