The ceremony of opening of a new sea passenger terminal built by the Hazar Kenary construction company at the request of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan took place in Gyzylsuv settlement, the Gyzylsuv Island in the Turkmenbashi Gulf of the Caspian Sea.
The new passenger terminal is built from modern construction materials using innovative technologies. The 51-metre pier built from high-strength metal piles with the use of composite coatings is designed for passenger vessels mooring.
The Charlak high-speed passenger ship that makes voyages to this settlement is the first vessel built at the Turkmenbashi seaport jointly with Turkmen specialists. At present, Charlak, which is designed for 320 passengers, runs along the routes Turkmenbashi-Gyzylsuv Island and Turkmenbashi-Hazar. The vessel is also used for making short sea tourist trips along the coast of the Avaza national tourism zone.
