The Turkmen State Institute of Economy and Management hosted a scientific-practical conference on statistics. The forum is organised jointly by the State Committee on Statistics and the Turkmen State Institute of Economy and Management.
The conference brought together specialists of the core ministries and departments, university professors and students of higher educational institutions in the Turkmen capital and the regions.
During a plenary session, meeting participants emphasized the significance of the further dynamic development of the statistical science in the country, improvement of work in the sphere of statistics and increase of the professional level of specialists and students through exchange of experience and the most advanced methods and technologies.
The forum continued in three sections focused on such issues as the statistical assessment of the social and economic changes in the epoch of might and happiness, the economic and mathematical modeling and innovative technologies in the system of statistics, the ways on improvement of the branch statistics.
The conference participants were briefed on the role of statistics in development of industry in Turkmenistan, the dynamics of the agricultural growth in statistical data, economic and mathematical models used in statistics, the human development index, etc. Over 80 reports were presented during the conference.
