“Turkmentelekom” State Telecommunication Company and “Altyn asyr” Close-end Joint-stock Company have established in remote villages of Ahal and Balkan provinces the telephone exchanges. Possibilities of the national satellite “TürkmenÄlem 52 oE” have started. Communication with new stations is realized through satellite channels by VSAT technology.

In Kirpili village of Baharly etrap in Ahal province that is in 150 kilometers far from etrap center, it was installed the stations of stationary and cellular communication. Stations of similar type have been put into operation in Oyligushlyk village in 60 kilometers far from etrap centre on the territory of Bereket etrap of Balkan province.

VSAT satellite technology allows providing high-quality communication in remote settlements, desert, mountain district difficult of access, on the sea, industrial sites. Launching in a space of the first national communication satellite “TürkmenÄlem 52 oE” became a powerful impulse in development of communication sphere; modern communications reach the remote regions.
