At the end of October, harvesting campaign starts on beet fields of the country. On the fields, it was timely conducted final agro-technical measures - top dressing with fertilizers, interrow processing, vegetative watering, control of weeds and agricultural pests.
Agricultural machinery of joint-stock company "Marysheker" and other enterprises of State association of the food-processing industry are ready: about two hundreds tractors, over one and a half hundred trailers and cargo transport, the auxiliary technics for service of agricultural machinery and equipment, etc. With the beginning of harvesting campaign machinery of State association "Turkmenobahyzmat" will be also involved for the aid to farmers.
Reception points and industrial shops of "Marysheker" joint-stock company are ready to acceptance, where with the first deliveries of sugar root crops from fields, the processing and manufacturing of sugar will be carried out. At processing of a beet crop of spring sowing of this year, transferred by farmers to the enterprise in the amount over 11 thousand tons, about 700 tons of sugar was received here. Altogether from forthcoming processing of a new beet crop in "Marysheker" joint-stock company, it is planned to receive as a whole more than 11 thousand tons of sugar.
Annually a beet is sown in country fields in two terms - in the spring and in the summer (after wheat cleaning). A greater quantity of beet crop fields is located in eight etraps of Mary velayat - Bayramaly, Vekilbazar, Karakum, Mary, Murgap, Oguzhan, Sakarchaga and Turkmenkala. In this region spring sowing is spent on 1 thousand hectares, more 13 thousand 900 hectares are sowed here in the summer.
Past year the quantity of beet crop fields in the country has increased. Besides 14 thousand 900 hectares occupied under a sugar root crop in Mary velayat, more 3 thousand hectares are allotted for beet in Balkan velayat. The beet sowing area in the western region is divided exactly half-and-half, on 1 thousand 500 hectares, by two etraps - Bereket and Serdar in which also a good crop of already the second - summer sowing is received.
Thus, the total area of beet crop fields in the country constitutes 17 thousand 900 hectares from which it is planned to collect as a whole 224 thousand tons of beet a year.
