There is no any single adult in the world who never make at least couple of pictures by photo camera in the world. The history of this art has started back in France in far 1826 when inventor Joseph Niépce has stood up 8 hours behind the camera and received the image, which has become the first photo officially and has been simply named “View from Window”.

It was also in France where the photos have started to be edited at request of client. Photographers invited unknown watercolorists and later painted received photos by hands. First photos of this kind, which are the exhibits of Photo Art Museum in Vienna, Austria, are dated by 1841.

The first color photo was made in 1861 by physicist James Maxwell. The image had a poor quality of colors and was not clear but the fact itself that a man has learned to make colored photos become a sensation for European media.

The first European photo contest, which winner received special medal from French Baron Pierre de Coubertin, was held in Paris in 1900 under the II Summer Olympic Games, which were also revived by the Baron.

Creative contest of the best artistic image of ahalteke horses, which was won by our colleague – photo reporter of the State News Agency of Turkmenistan Meretdurdy Rozieyv I nomination of the best photo works, was held under Turkmen Horse and Shepherd Dog Holiday.

Meret’s desire to capture the emotions and impressions has been expressed initially in his interest in painting. When the boy was in the second grade at school, his father, who is also famous Turkmen photo correspondent Sapargeldy Roziyev, has presented him the first camera and become his guide to the world of photo art. In his lessons, Saprgeldy paid the utmost attention to making of efficient dynamic shot, choosing of optimal view, communication of live emotions. Meretdurdy has always had Smena-7 camera, which as presented by his father, with him, no matter if it was just a communication with friends, journeys to historical places or going out for picnic.

The father, who encouraged the interest of son in photography, often took young artist with him helping him making first steps in his work. However, his mother Ogulgurban-eje, who follows the success of her son, sometimes criticizing him for his works, until today, has supported and inspired Meretdurdy more than his father.

During the study, Meretdurdy was entrusted to decorate classrooms, for example chemistry, biology, drawing, physics and geometry classrooms, for which he made great number of visual aids. Works of young Roziyev were not only used for preparation of school news posters but were also published in teen magazines.

After receiving independence by Turkmenistan, Roziyev has become a photo reporter of Turkmen Press Agency and visited almost all parts of the country as well as foreign countries. Meretdurdy’s photos have captured various events from the world of turkmen art, culture, sports, science, economy and policy.

Meretdurdy’s works were taken for participation on international photo exhibitions. Roziyev names the reflection of spiritual world and ancient cultural traditions of Turkmen people as the favorite direction of his creativity. From the fauna, Meretdurdy likes best to take photos of national symbols of our country – ahalteke horses and Turkmen dogs. The horses attract the photographer with their beauty and grace, ability to work for camera, while the dogs by loyalty and fearlessness.

We would like to extend our congratulations on the victory in national creative contest and expect new achievements in his art to capture the moment with breaking its internal harmony.
