For uninterrupted gas supply of settlements of the country, including the remote ones, the mounting crews of “Turkmengazupjunchilik” Association of “Turkmengaz” State Concern have laid and reconstructed in the last year over 800 kilometers of gas pipes. Currently, the Association serves more than 42 thousand kilometers of gas pipelines and over 890 thousand - gas consumers. 97.4 percent of the country's territory was fully gasified.
Only in Lebap province within a year, the natural gas was provided to residential settlements of fifteen etraps. Since last year, blue fuel smoothly flows into the villages located in Koytendag foothills - Koiten, Gurshun Magdanly, Bazartepe. The gas network was brought to the remotest mountain village - Hojapil located on the eastern border of the country.
Natural gas instead of liquid is delivered now through the pipes to villages situated in the desert regions of Ahal province - in Baharly, Kaahka, Tejen etraps, Altyn Asyr etrap. In the Central Karakum, the residential and administrative buildings of Derweze etrap - Bokurdag village are supplied with natural gas. More than 534 kilometers of gas pipes were laid to newly created villages. Only for supply with natural gas of mortgage housing, which is under construction, it was used totally 300 kilometers of gas pipes, and this work is going on.
This year, it is planned to accelerate the works on transfer of remote villages and settlements into consumption of natural gas. Activities on establishment of connecting networks will be continued almost in all etraps and provinces of the country. In 2016, it should be laid 400 kilometers of gas pipelines. At the same time, it will be replaced and reconstructed more than one million meters of existing networks. For uninterrupted supply of farms, it is planned to use pipes of larger diameter, replacement in aggressive grounds of metal pipes with polyethylene, considerable increase of the length of gas lines.
