Textile factories make school uniforms

view-icon 4633

Enterprises of the Textile Ministry of Turkmenistan have been producing a wide range of uniforms for students. The entire ‘collection’ of school outfits will have been prepared ahead of school bazars, which traditionally open on August 1.

The sector’s leading enterprises - Ashgabat-based garment factories - were the first to start the work. The Altyn Asyr Factory is making boys’ uniforms: suits, trousers and neckties. Girls’ clothes are being sewn at the capital’s oldest Bakhar Factory. Hundreds of articles of clothing have already been produced: white pinafores, dresses, jackets, lab coats for home economics lessons.

The Ýeňiş Factory in Mary has begun to produce white uniform shirts. Clothing factories in Turkmenabat and Bereket, and the Çeper Factory in Dashoguz are also busily preparing for the new academic year, sewing pinafores, coats and gloves. Warm jumpers are being knitted at the Ashgabat-based Fashion House.

The Geoktepe and Kipchak Textile Complexes are now making boys’ and girls’ sportswear. The factories began to sew uniforms in late June. And now, the Altyn Asyr Shopping Center and manufactures’ stores located on the capital’s central streets offer a large selection of school clothing.

Local clothes producers are set to delight children and adults alike with wonderfully comfortable clothes and footwear to be sold at school bazars due to open on August 1.
