An exhibition of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Conference of the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan was opened in Ashgabat. Large-scale review of achievements and prospects of the development of private sector of the economy was traditionally timed to the day of formation of this large social organization, currently uniting 13 thousand 500 representatives of private business.
Government officials, heads and representatives of the Parliament, the diplomatic corps accredited to Turkmenistan, public organizations, ministries and department, higher educational establishments and mass media took part in the opening ceremony held by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country in the exhibition hall of the CCI.
This year, more than 140 private companies that specialize in various sectors of the national economy: agriculture, processing industry, construction and production of building materials, tourism, trade and social services, banking, transport and logistics sectors, as well as national craft and folk crafts, and others, represented their stands at the exhibition.
Plants for production of bricks, reinforced concrete structures, waterproofing materials, crashed sand, isogamete, expanded polystyrene, expanded clay, various emulsions, electric cables and hoses, curbs, oil and air filters, batteries, etc. are successfully functioning in different regions of the country. About increasing opportunities of UIET members in the development of the industrial sector is testified by the fact that President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, giving an indication to increase cement production volumes in the country, demanded to engage in decision of this matter the entrepreneurs, having entrusted them the construction of mini-plants for the production of 100 thousand tons of cement per year.
There are the enterprises, demonstrating at the exhibition the qualitative, globally competitive building materials. One of the most bright pavilions - Turkmen furniture makers. Leaders of furniture production – “Aybolek” factory, the enterprises “Abrayly onum” and “Chigildem” offer a wide range of import-substituting and export-oriented products designed by them on the exhibition platforms of “home” and office interiors.
Entrepreneurs continue to develop confidently new segments of the market and production technologies, allowing reaching the increase of the competitiveness of the agro-industrial complex, meeting the public demand in an ecologically pure foodstuff and vitamin products. Today in Turkmenistan, an impressive proportion of meat, eggs, milk, vegetables and melons is produced in the private sector.
The exhibition widely demonstrated confections of such major manufacturers as ES “Hasar”, “Misgär”, “Bars”, “Oguzhan”, PE “Mekan”, and works of confectionary art - cakes of “Ýunus” brand, popular varieties of bread and bakery products “Tomus” and “Saglyk”.
In all its diversity at the exhibition it was presented the products of large manufacturers of dairy products and ice cream, sausage and meat products. Among them – “Parahat”, “Bereketli”, “Sahawatly”, enterprises producing products under the trademarks “Hemra”, “Elin”, “Salkyn”, “Erteki”, “Täze aý”, and others.
Pavilions with a wide assortment of fish, which breeding is carried out by small and medium-sized enterprises from different regions of the country were of great interest. Stand of the large industrial complex on fish breeding and processing “Hazarbalyk” built by the founders of Open Joint-stock Company “Hazarbalyk” in Balkan region in the past year, is worth of special attention. Its annual production capacity - 170 tons of smoked, dried and other fish products, 100 tons of commercial fish of sturgeon species and 2 tons of sturgeon caviar and 10 million units of canned products from various kinds of fish.
The exhibition also familiarizes the visitors with the success of entrepreneurs in the field of development of trade and services. Entrepreneurship plays an increasing role in successful integration of Turkmenistan into the world trade-economic space. “Bäsdeş” Trade House also explains this. One of the main directions of its activity is the organization of trade business of entrepreneurs in the domestic and foreign markets, the establishment of direct contacts with foreign partners.
Products of traditional crafts, in which development also actively involved the Turkmen businessmen, are very popular in abroad. Representatives of the private sector make their contribution to the preservation and promotion of the national cultural heritage.
Today, a large new enterprise for industrial production of carpets and carpet articles - Open Joint Stock Company “Abadan haly”, which was commissioned in February of this year and built by IE “Aga gurluşyk” presents for the first time its own stand at the exhibition.
Among the exhibitors - manufacturers of apparel products made of natural fabrics of local production, as well as keteni and the women’s national silk scarves of different patterns, colors and sizes.
A variety of souvenirs, including with image of historical places, sights of the Turkmen capital, symbols of the forthcoming in Ashgabat in 2017 major sport event - the V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts also attracts the attention.
Within the framework of the review of achievements of national entrepreneurship in the second half of the day, in the conference hall of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, it was held a conference of UEIT, which agenda included the discussion of main directions of further development of the private sector, measures to fulfillment of tasks set before country’s entrepreneurs in line with key state programs.
