Today President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting with participation of deputy-chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement bodies, other related institutions, the khyakim of Ashgabat city and a number of priority issues of state life were considered in its course.
Announcing the agenda of the meeting, the state head underlined that till the end of the current year a little time was left but for this period important events, including international events should be organized and held at high level in our country.
Noting that related reports will be delivered and key goals to be achieved in this direction will be outlined in the course of the meeting, the leader of the nation gave the floor to Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov.
Deputy-Chairman, Head of the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported on preparation for International Day of Neutrality, which is annually marked on December 12. The international conference will be devoted to this significant date and it will be the main closing event of 2021, the year, which the UN General Assembly declared as International Year of Peace and Trust at the initiative of Turkmenistan and fixed it in the related Resolution.
Then, the floor was given to Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet S.Berdimuhamedov who reported on preparation for the 15th Economic Cooperation Organization Summit to be held in Ashgabat at the end of the current month with assistance of Turkmenistan as chairman in ECO to host events envisaged within its framework.
Expressing confidence that the upcoming 15th Economic Cooperation Organization Summit and events to be held in the Turkmen capital will make a great contribution to further development of traditionally friendly relations and multifaceted interaction that answer for common interests, the leader of the nation gave concrete assignments to all-round preparation for this important international event.
Further Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Ch. Gylyjov reported on the state of affairs in the spheres he supervises as well as on preparation for the opening ceremony of a new textile complex built in Babadaykhan district of Akhal region. It was also informed that in this connection, a program of cultural activities for the event was developed jointly with related establishments.
The meeting continued with the report of Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Ch. Purchekov on the course of construction activities carried out in the industrial sector of the country and in Ashgabat city as well as preparation for the opening ceremony of the hotel «Garagum» in the northern part of the capital and modern parks.
It was informed that there have been created necessary opportunities for organization of events and international forums in the fashionable hotel complex in addition to conditions for comfortable rest of foreign guests. The new parks possess the conditions both for good recreation and for practice of various sports.
Further Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet M.Mammedova reported on preparation for the events including the opening of new large projects, festive events timed to International Day of Neutrality and the New Year.
As for the welcoming of the new year 2022, one should work well on development of the program of cultural events which includes various events as well as the lighting up the Main Fur Tree in the capital of the country and similar events in regions, performance of workers of art and culture, interesting theatrical plays and festive events. Besides it, one should timely prepare substantial topical TV and radio broadcasts. And of course, one should pay special attention to organization of festive spare time of young Turkmen nationals, the leader of the nation said.
Summing up the outcome of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again pointed out to the importance of issues considered today and necessity of solution of tasks set to see off the current jubilee year with good indicators and to welcome worthily the upcoming year 2022.
One should take a most serious and responsible approach to preparation for all marked events, including their aesthetic content as well as festive decoration of the capital city and other cities and populated areas of the country and regular operation of related services, the leader of the nation said.
Concluding the working meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished its participants success in their work for the benefit of further development of our sovereign country and rise of its international image, wellbeing and happy life of our people.
