The potato growers of Dashoguz velayat end this year with another labour success. Like last year, the autumn potato harvesting plan was implemented here.

Before the cold weather set in, 11 thousand 244 ton of potato was gathered from the fields, that is above the planned. The coordinated interaction of all involved in the harvesting links allowed to carry out in organized way the important campaign in short time. The autumn potato, with regard to the peculiarities of the soil and climate conditions of velayat, this year was grown on 800 hectares in etrap named after Gurbansoltan-eje and etrap named after S. Niyazov, and in Gubadag etrap. Following all scientific recommendations on planting care, gained cultivation experience, allowed under the unfavorable conditions to gather from every hectare not less than one hundred and forty centners of potato. Let us recall that over 26 thousand 600 ton of spring-planted potato was gathered earlier in the region.

Another labour success of farmers evidently demonstrated, that in the north region of the country the sufficient experience was gathered on the potato cultivation and getting two harvests of potatoes per year. This became possible thanks to the successfully realized in the country programs on strengthening of the food supply, comprehensive support and stimulation of the farmers by the state, wide involvement of private producers in agricultural production, consistent improvement of the organization of work in the agricultural sector. Today, private producers are actively involved in potato production in the Dashoguz velayat, using the possibilities of special land funds for growing agricultural crops.
