It has been drilled 12081 meters of rocks despite its initial plan of 11380 meters in 5 months of this year. In comparison with relevant period of 2015, drilling operation volumes have grown more than 140 percent.
The reserves of this unique underground natural gas exceed 26.2 trillion cubic meters. One of the major projects currently being implemented in the gas sector of the country, are the industrial development of this field.
Within the framework of the first phase, it was built factories on preparation and desulfurization of gas with the entire ground infrastructure with total capacity of 30 billion cubic meters of marketable gas per year aimed to involve foreign companies from South Korea, China and the United Arab Emirates in the gas-bearing territories.
It was given a start of second and third stages of the industrial development of this field. Within the framework of the second phase it is planned to drill 70 wells, the flow rate of the most of which is 2 million cubic meters per day, the construction of two headwork installations for cleaning and feedstock with capacity of 15 billion cubic meters of marketable gas, plumes of gas pipelines from the wells to the gas gathering points, the construction of 6 gas gathering points with a capacity of 5 billion cubic meters of raw gas per year, as well as several production lines: for drying and cleaning of natural gas by heavy elements; production of 235 000 tons of condensate; production and packaging of a total of 2 million tons of sulfur.
With the aim to provide natural gas to these enterprises, the State Сoncern "Turkmengas" conducts accelerated drilling of gas deposits. Given the importance of quality construction of wells in difficult mining and geological conditions of "Galkynysh" field, while drilling it is used the most modern equipment and advanced technology from leading oil service companies , such as «Schumberger», «Weatherforl», «Halliburton» and others. It was purchased five modern, high-performance systems capable of reach depths of up to 7,000 meters
In a short time the State Concern "Turkmengas" in line with the contractor’s corporation "Turkmengeologiya" it was transferred to exploitation up to 8 high-producing wells in the field. 7 wells were prepared to test the performance, the drilling continues of another 13 wells. By the end of the year 10 more wells will be added to the existing ones.
Upon completion of work, the total volume of processed natural gas in the field will be 93 billion cubic meters. Large-scale development of the field "Galkynysh" relevant in the context of project implementation of the TAPI pipeline, construction of which carries SC "Turkmengas".
