Sales volume increasing with every passing year as well as ambitious investment projects implemented in Turkmenistan with participation of Turkish companies vividly illustrate the fruitful development of the Turkmen-Turkish cooperation. Joint business forums organized regularly and specialized expositions, which provide information on the socio-economic, scientific and technological achievements of our countries and identify new areas of partnership significantly contribute to promote cooperation between the two states.
The exhibition of the building materials industry of the Republic of Turkey serves as another specific example characterizing the high level of trade and economic ties. The main goal of the exhibition is to enhance investment cooperation and widen partner relations.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, the Deputy Minister for Economy of the Republic of Turkey Fatih Metin underlined that the open-door policy and large-scale reforms implemented under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan based on the principles of the legal status of neutrality contributed to enhancing the prestige of Turkmenistan at the regional and international level. Focusing on the significance of exhibitions in the epoch of globalization and increasing competitiveness on the world market, the guest spotlighted the importance of the exposition in strengthening the Turkmen-Turkish relations based on centuries-old ties of friendship and spiritual commonality, mutual understanding and trust between the two fraternal peoples.
It was emphasized that in recent years the two countries had accumulated strong experience in implementing joint projects in the sphere of construction. That is vividly proved by participation of Turkish companies in development of the Turkmen capital and regions of the country, the Avaza national tourist zone as well as projects of regional significance.
Investing heavily in the construction industry, our country establishes a solid foundation for development of economy, social and cultural spheres. A major role here is given to inducement of foreign capital in the form of direct investments and other assets. In this regard, the exhibition will be of great importance not only for enhancing bilateral trade and economic relations and bringing the partnership in the field of building materials industry up to a new level, but also for consolidating fruitful contacts with the Turkish investors.
