New office of the Lebap Velayat Laboratory of the State Committee for Standards opened in Turkmenabat

The solemn ceremony of opening of the new office of the laboratory of Lebap Velayat Department of the Turkmenstandartlary Main State Service of Turkmenistan opened in Turkmenabat. The representatives of velayat and municipal khyakimliks, public organizations, the elders and youth attended the ceremony.

The new two-storey building of the laboratory designed in an original architectural style was built in industrial zone 2 in the Zerger settlement on the south of the administrative center of the velayat. Big enterprises, a lot of construction material storages and other storehouses are located there. Before, several premises in different parts of the city housed the laboratory of the velayat service for standardization. In order to ensure the more efficient organization of work of the service, the complex of laboratories is now settled in one comfortable building.

The newly-constructed building as well as the new offices of laboratories in the administrative centers of Balkan and Mary Velayats was built within the framework of the State programme on development the system of standardization in Turkmenistan for 2011-2015 adopted by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan in 2010. The programme regulates the list of tasks required for efficient development of the national system of standardization.

The new building hosts 32 working and laboratory rooms supplied with the most advanced control equipment and devices produced in Japan, Turkey, China, Russia and other countries, including ultrasonic flaw detector, dosemeter- radiometer, spectrum analyzer, pull test machine, moisture gauge, platform truck scales. The high-quality equipment installed at the laboratory allows controlling the quality of goods and their compliance with the international standards effective in Turkmenistan.
