The option of international airports at the Caspian Sea and Ashgabat as transit points on the routes connecting cities of Europe and Asia is stipulated by their favourable geographical locations on intersection of maritime, air, railroad and automobile routes connecting Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia. Technical equipment and infrastructure of international airports, made in accordance with highest standards required for modern transportation hubs of this kind, played leading role in this choice.

Centralized fuel station with simultaneous filling of eight planes increases significantly the service of aircrafts. There are hotels for foreign companies’ crews making international transit flights at the airport. Cargo terminals equipped with automated handling system are built for processing of delivered and dispatched goods.

Owing to favourable geographical location, - President of the Country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted, - Turkmenistan may enclose the considerable part of Eurasian cargo streams contributing considerable input to provision of stability and sustainable development of the region and the whole world.
