Agrarians of Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats have started planting potatoes.

As reported at a working meeting held by the head of state on February 15 through a digital system, 30,000 hectares of agricultural land will be planted with early varieties of potatoes this year.

With the blessing of the respected President, the spring sowing campaign began on a high spiritual uplift. Meetings were held in the velayats on the issues of organized potato sowing, as well as other issues related to the development of the industry. After that, the honorary elders, together with agricultural workers, laid the first kilograms of potato seeds into the soil.

Then machinery moved to the sowing fields. Today, modern agricultural equipment is a great help for our farmers - powerful tractors with potato seeders and sprinklers, which can significantly save water resources.

According to forecasts experts, a new potato crop is planned to be harvested in early summer.
