Wheat field areas of Akhal region are occupies by 209 thousand hectares. The harvesting inclueded around 420 high-capacities combines «CLAAS», «John Deere», «Case», «New Holland». As noted, in February of this year it was put into operation a modern water management system having provided irrigation water for about 25 thousand hectares of virgin lands in Altyn Asyr and Kaahka districts.
A solemn meeting was held on the occasion of joyful events in Akhal region. The meeting attended heads and leading specialists of the regional government headquarters. As participants’ mentioned, a significant contribution to the fulfillment of contractual commitments to deliver grains were farmers’ painstaking work on growing an abundant harvest, and combiners who were masterfully managing advanced technology, and drivers who were ensuring smooth transportation of the harvested crops.
The mowing season of grains in Akhal region is going on. Grain growers intend to collect remainder of the crop until the last grain. At the same time in the fields, free from wheat, are now widely deployed work on straw harvesting for livestock, and sowing catch crops. In addition, farmers are actively preparing for the upcoming agricultural sowing of winter crops, and continue to take care for cottons.
