In Turkmenistan, it is undergoing vegetables picking time grown in the open land. These are tomatoes and cucumber, early cabbage, potatoes, eggplant, bell peppers and onions growing here. However, in the lad left after the harvest of winter wheat and forage, it is sown late vegetables in accordance with local soil and climatic conditions.


Grown plants of tomatoes and cucumbers in different periods for the southern and northern regions are planted out in open ground in April, and the "fall" ones are planted in August. Early cabbage planted in March, and harvested in June and July. The planted ones in the middle of summer will be harvested in October. Potatoes, the early ones will be harvested before August, and the planted potatoes in August will be harvested in the first colds. Procurement cycle will be completed in December. Grapes picking which begin to ripen in the second half of July, lasts until late fall. Sugar beet- frost-resistant root vegetables are harvested in the first colds.


The structural department of the State Association of Food Industry of Turkmenistan continues taking vegetables which were grown by tenant-farmers in accordance with the state order. The volumes of public procurement are reflected in the Regulations by the head of the state on planning of agricultural production in the country. Indicators of production of fruits and vegetables are planned based on the needs of the food market of the country.

The State Union of Food Industry of Turkmenistan signs contracts with farmers associations and private enterprises. Fruit and vegetable processing work engaged by the enterprises. On production plants processed tons of vegetables, as well as various kinds of fruit annually. A properly functioning system operates in every region where the state union is represented local agricultural association "Mive". This allows you to optimize and create an efficient chain of cycle "production - storage - processing - realization».


Having enough production capacities, the State Union contributes to ensure domestic food independence of the country, enriching the market with locally produced fruits’ and vegetables’ products in fresh and canned ways. Thanks to complex work which includ marketing research. There are broad assortments in the local market: tomatoes purées, ketchups, fruits juice, jams, juices, stewed fruit, canned vegetables and salads, prepared by local ecologically sound products. All raw products are tested for micro biological and chemical security, a highly technological production cycle. The ecological packaging will allow saving vitamins and other useful elements. As stated by Turkmen food production specialists, the purchasing requirements motivate to issue new variations of products prepared by high quality standards.


Domestic agricultural goods are grown without genetically modified technology on healthy soils and ecologically sound environmental conditions. This way the state legally protects population’s health and national vegetable market. Consumers often prefer fruit grown by local producers, and its products grown in healthy soil-conservation conditions which attract their interest with price and goods picked on ecologically sound garden. Fruits and vegetables appear on sale only after quality control in laboratories equipped with modern technologies throughout the country's markets.
