In accordance to the programme of further development of fuel and energy complex of the country, oilmen are to accelerate the development of oil fields, increase the production of existing fields, output of oil layers, mechanize and automate the production of hydrocarbon materials.
Realizing the assignments given by the president of Turkmenistan to oil and gas industry of the country, drilling teams of the Concern increased volumes of exploration and production drilling and output of hydrocarbons on perspective fields North Koturdepe and Altyn-Kuyu.
Already more than five years, oilmen undertake the work on shallow waters of the Caspian Sea, developing and put into exploitation natural reserves of coastal zone. Departments of the Concern produced more than 2 million 461 thousand tons of “black gold” for the first half of the current year. Plan for delivery of crude oil to main consumers was successfully fulfilled.
At the same time, divisions of the Concern produced more than 3 billion 312 million cubic meters of natural gas from gas bearing reserves. Around 166 thousand meters of wells were drilled on perspective areas. There are more than 123 thousand meters of production and 42 thousand meters of exploration wells. These indices are considerably higher than drilling works of the same period of the last year. Increasing rates of work during six months of the current year, Koturdepe drilling division in North Koturdepe completed drilling of exploration and production wells on 4700 – 500 meters depth. Productive wells were handed over to oil production departments; they produce industrial inflow of hydrocarbons.
High indices of drilling teams developing new fields are the outcome of coordinated work of industrial workers, scientists geologists of “Nebitgazylmytaslama” institute of the State Concer “Turkmenneft”, field geologists, geophysics and other specialists who take part in development of oil wealth of coastal region.
It should be mentioned that while previously production drilling in North Koturtepe and Altyn – Kuyu was performed together with foreign companies then now it is undertaken by local oilmen only. Enterprises of the State Concern “Turkmenneft” are supplied with modern powerful equipment designated for drilling of super deep wells. This favours the fulfilment of given assignments.
Totally, 50 wells have been drilled and handed over to oil production divisions by Nebitdag, Koturdepe, Korpeje and Okarem drilling divisions on the fields of North Koturdepe, East Koturdepe, Altynguyi, Barsagelmes, Ordekli, Kemer, Ekizak. 275 wells were worked over and 201 were put into exploitation, more than 108 thousand tons of oil were produced.
