Horticulture and viticulture is becoming one of the popular areas in the agricultural sector among private producers in the Dashoguz velayat. Today it is a priority largely due to the special agricultural land fund created in the region, the plots of which are allocated in the prescribed manner to private producers for growing various agricultural products, including fruits and berries. So, only for the last three years, in the northern region of the country, more than seven hundred residents took advantage of this opportunity. Almost half of them are farmers of the etrap named after S.A. Niyazov, private gardening and viticulture is also rapidly developing in the etraps named after Gurbansoltan-edzhe and Gubadag etrap.
Interestingly, in most cases, the owners of land plots for a period of 99 years are people who already have experience in cultivating such crops as tenants. And this once again confirms that horticulture and viticulture, with the proper organization of management, is a profitable agribusiness.
Consistent measures taken in the country to improve the culture of agriculture, including through the use of scientifically based methods of cultivating agricultural crops, developed taking into account the soil and climatic conditions of each velayat, already today contribute to the active development of the fruit and vegetable sector. Thus, Dashoguz gardeners annually receive high yields of apples, pears, plums, cherry plums, sweet cherries, cherries and others, which contributes to the year-round provision of the food market with high-quality vitamin products. At the same time, the emphasis in the cultivation of perennial trees and grapes is placed on the efficient use of water and land resources, the skillful and timely implementation of all necessary agrotechnical measures, the use of modern crop cultivation technologies, which ultimately contributes to a consistent increase in production volumes.
