Football players of “Dashoguz” won the Cup of Dashoguz velayat, winning a one-round tournament in the administrative center of the northern region of Turkmenistan.

The honorary trophy was contested by six teams: “Turan”, “Dashoguz”, “Almaz” (all three represented the city of Dashoguz), “Akdepe” from the Akdepe etrap, “Novbahar” (etrap named after S.A. Nyyazov) and “Ruhybelent" from the eponymous etrap.

According to the results of five rounds, the two leaders - “Dashoguz” and “Turan” - scored the same number of points (13). However, due to the better difference between goals scored and conceded, “Dashoguz” got the Cup. The team of the Basic Sports School of the Main Department of Sports and Youth Policy of the Dashoguz velayat was led to this success by the head coach Alibek Sapayev.

Three teams claimed the third place - “Ruhybelent”, “Almaz” and “Novbahar”. They all scored 6 points. However, according to additional indicators, the top three winners were closed by “Ruhybelent”.

19-year-old central defender of “Dashoguz” Jasur Annamyradov was recognized as the best player of the tournament.
