An exhibition of works by artists Begench Berkeliev and Vepa Gurdov under the lyrical title "Fortieth Autumn" was opened at the Exhibition Center of the capital.

This year, graduates of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, Begench and Vepa, turned 40 years old, by creative standards, the age when artists already define their style in art. That is why the word “autumn” was used in the title of the exhibition, which suggests maturity, as well as a fertile time for harvesting.

The artists presented 200 paintings, which occupied the entire space of both floors of the center. Both artists work in the style of realism and impressionism, but Begench Berkeliev is also fond of pointimalism - dotted drawing.

In addition, each of them has their own preferences in genres. For example, Vepa Gurdov, a student of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Annadurdy Almammedov, like his mentor, gravitates towards the lyrical landscape, and Begench Berkeliev is a creative artist, he is attracted by unusual angles, everyday objects that seemed to accidentally fall into the artist's field of vision. He is the author of the famous series of paintings about mulberry trees, which he was so carried away with that it seems he will never finish it. Begench had many teachers in the process of education, but perhaps the main mentor who influenced his taste and originality more than others was Akhatmurad Nuvvaev.

Artists, art critics, students of the Academy of Arts and Art College, as well as art lovers admired the exhibited works. Hearts were filled with pride for our country when they realized that Turkmen painters had made a major step in the development of fine arts. This and the previous exhibition of paintings by teachers of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan confirmed this.
