Beet growers started harvesting late October. By the beginning of the agricultural campaign equipment were prepared and the harvest collection points, laboratories and manufacturing plants.
"Marysheker" Joint Stock Company is part of the State Association of Food Industry of Turkmenistan, providing high-quality seeds of beet growers, and transports the crop to the receiving points. The capacity of the Stock Company can produce more than 11 thousand tons of sugar annually.
Currently, beet fields are located in the area of 17 thousand 900 hectares, located in nine districts of Mary region - Karakum, Bayramali, Oguzhan, Mary, Vekilbazar, Sakarchaga, Murghab, Ioloten, Turkmengala and in etraps Serdar, Etrek, Esenguly, Makhtumkuli and Bereket of Balkan region. In average countrywide it is annually collected more than 220 thousand tons of sugar root crops, which is fully meet the needs of the processing pipeline.
It is known that beet is the intercropping, planted at the end of the grain harvest. That way the land users combine basic, intermediate and fodder crops, raising the return of land. Harvesting of sugar root crop cycles performed until the spring - depending on the demand for raw materials production capacity. The local climate is perfect for growing cold-resistant culture, from which, in addition to sugar, produce food alcohol, and from waste products - feed supplement, equal in nutritional value of silage.
