These days, throughout the 88-kilometer of the steel road, including the part of the railway Akina in the territory of the neighboring Afghanistan, the conclusive part of the construction and bringing it to the required parameters continues. As is known, to lay the Asian transport corridor, including infrastructural facilities is used the know-how technology, and involved more than fifty species of various equipment from leading manufacturers.

The main scope of work is performed by Turkmenabat construction and installation team №2, having had experience in the construction of railways routes Turkmenabat-Atamyrat, Tejen-Serakhs-Mashad, Ashgabat-Karakum-Dashoguz. Also, the Turkmen section of the transnational pipeline Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran. The next team who continued the construction was Mary track machine station №2, experienced craftsmen who have a rich experience in the construction of railways across the country.

The most complex facilities of the route were two railway bridges. Major engineering works are built respectively over the canal, which stretches from the reservoir "15 Years of Independence" and the Karakum River. The length of the first is 256 meters; the second one is 363 meters. The work on these facilities were completed by the Ukrainian company "Altcom Road Construction”.

When laying the railway routes on the bridge builders used the new technology: for greater reliability is set high-strength of the stacked together ballastless plates which are attached to metal structures. Between the concrete plates joints there are significant gap left aimed at equalizing joints specifically for the safe movement of metal and concrete structures with regard to their high heat in hot climates.

Innovative design, advanced technology, components units and materials have also been used in the construction of numerous infrastructure, two railway stations, as well as an oil terminal at the customs post "Ymamnazar". All of this, together with the high professionalism of Russian and Ukrainian experts contributed to compliance of the first stage of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan railway with the highest requirements of international standards.
