Turkmenhowayollary State National Service launches new routes between Ashgabat and Tehran, Ashgabat and Kazan, Ashgabat and Milan in December, 2016

The civil aviation of independent Turkmenistan has intensively developed the infrastructure and widened the geography of international flights. The first-class aviation equipment and highly qualified aircraft staff allow the air carrier - “Turkmenistan” Enterprise increasing the volume and improving the quality of passenger and cargo transportation.


Construction of modern air-terminal complexes, providing a wide range of services to passengers, and runway systems designed for all types of aircrafts is a part of the general strategy of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the establishment of the extended air service infrastructure, supplied with up-to-date equipment. The new aerodrome complex with the passenger terminal, which is able to accept 1,600 passengers per hour and 14 million a year – the largest one in Central Asia, built on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan was put into operation in Ashgabat this year. There is a modern International airport in Turkmenbashi as well as a runway in Mary. A new airport complex under construction in Turkmenabat will be put into operation in August 2017. A new runway designed for Boeing-777-200 LR crafts and other infrastructure facilities were put into operation in the Dashoguz airdrome.


Airports in the country are equipped with modern ground equipment. All this allowed the aviators significantly improving the level of passenger services and bringing this level up to the highest international standards. Nowadays, the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service uses comfortable jetliners Boeing 737- 700, Boeing 737- 800, Boeing 757 on international flights and Challenger» (CL-605) on commercial flights.

In recent years, comfortable jetliners of new generation NG, which were purchased in accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, replaced the worn-out crafts of the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service. Number of this type of aircrafts will continue to grow, and by 2020, they will replenish the national aircraft fleet.


Du to the most advanced aviation technology, Turkmen aviators have the opportunity to further expand the geography of regular international flights and increase the frequency of flights on existing ones. Today, the aircrafts with the "Turkmenhowayollary" emblem fly to Moscow and London, Frankfurt and Birmingham, Bangkok and Delhi, Abu Dhabi and Amritsar, Beijing and Istanbul. Turkmen aviators have laid the real ‘air bridge’ from Asia to Europe and continue to increase the volume of traffic on these routes. The Turkmenhowayollary State National Service opened its representative offices in two other cities in the CIS - Minsk (Belarus) and Almaty (Kazakhstan).


The NG generation aircrafts with the emblem of "Turkmenhowayollary" fly to Paris (France) and Ankara (Turkey). The number of flights from Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi to Istanbul (Turkey) increased. In December this year, Turkmen aviators are planning to launch regular flights to the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Starting from December 3, 2016, Ashgabat -Teheran flight (T5-877) will be performed on Boeing-737-800 twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Regular flights (T5-733) to Kazan (Russian Federation) will be opened on December 15, 2016. For the first time, our pilots have developed a route to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe - Milan (Italy). Boeing-737-800 aircraft will perform flight T5-453 between Ashgabat and Milan starting from December 23 on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The Turkmenhowayollary State National Service will open representative offices in these cities in the future.

Within the years of independence, Turkmen aviators have transported dozens millions of passengers and about half a million tons of cargo and mail on international and local airlines. At present, the Turkmen airline offices operate in 11 big cities in Asia and Europe.
